Malmo’s city library is made up of three elements. Working from left to right above, you have the original building, known as the old “Castle”, designed by John Smedberg and built in 1901. In 1997, Henning Larsen received Sweden's oldest and most renowned architectural award, the Kasper Salin Prize, for the design of Malmö City Library, and the building remains an important source of inspiration for our work.
